School, P.C. with Melanie, Blade II with René and Ines
I got up right in time this morning to print out my Geography homework - a prospect we had to do about the Erzgebirge. Glad that I did it, 'cause Mrs. Proß collected it in. Geography itself was rather stupid. Now we're talking about the forest again. I'd rather do some topology stuff or learn where to find world's countries and their capitals. We also had the task to create a mindmap, which I did together with Sabine (who's sitting next to me in Geo), but we didn't manage it in time, so it's only about 75% finished. I hope it won't be evaluated.
Laura had told me that Julia was *very* embarrassed about me congratulating her at the bus' glass. I never thought it would, 'cause I would really like it when someone (even some random someone, as I am to her, most likely), and now I have a really bad conscience about all that. I'm sorry... :(
But I don't think she's mad at me, she didn't look angry and in P.E. she seemed happy, too. She always seems so happy.
In English we spoke about the use of the articles in English (definite, indefinite and none). And there was a sentence where we had to fill in the fitting articles. One was "__ dog is __ only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself.". I had written the for both gaps, but apparently the first gap needs a, and only a. How so? The second gap is clear, but why "A dog..."? I know that in the sentence it is meant "Any dog", but isn't in this case the more appropriate or at least possible? I mean, we also do use that in German: "Der Hund ist der beste Freund des Menschen." (The dog is the best friend of man.) - Mrs. Rost-Menge said it's wrong, although I was completely sure it's right. And I seemed to be the only one. I'm confused... So what's right???
P.E. was okay. In the first half we practiced volleyball techniques. I sucked. I can't get the ball straight to where I try to aim. In the second half, Mr. Herzig ["Heäheäzich", klingt komisch, wenn man das ausspricht. *g*] put us all into 3 teams where we are about to stay for the rest of the volleyball period of our P.E. lessons. I'm in team A with Ulrike J.,
Susanne W., Susann S., Susann A., Johanna U., Julia U. and Ann-Christin B. - I guess that's quite okay, I'm glad I'm not in Julia W.'s team. >.<
Right after P.E., I went home with Ines and Melanie, where I got my bike, we brought Melanie home, I brought Ines home, drove back to Melanie and went to the P.C. with her. She had to buy something for her niece's birthday. We couldn't find the "Scene" doll with the dog, so she bought the "cool red cabriolet" instead. We also bought Thomas Mann's "Der Tod in Venedig" each, which is needed for German again (German class is *so* expensive!) and I looked for a good Latin dictionary. But they didn't have any I liked. Gotta look at Hugendubel... after eating (only) 3 cheeseburgers at McDonald's, I brought her home again, drove to Ines to tell her the plans for today.
Those plans were set up by Ines, we wanted to watch a movie at my place together with René. So I phoned René and Ines, after being home again, and at 16:30 or so, after me plucking plums in our garden, they both arrived. We went to the video store to rent a movie. I registred there as well. We had a hard time agree upon the movie and finally decided for Blade II. Back home we played a bit of GTA2, let Ines play while René and me watched Enterprise ("Carbon Creek", that episode rocked!). Then we watched the movie which was okay, I gave it 6 points on IMDb, which is the 448th movie in my vote history. Phew. Then they both went home again.
René wants to become a policeman after school... hmm... hard to imagine...
"Guten Tag! Führerschein und Fahrzeugpapiere bitte, ihr seid mit überhöhter Geschwindigkeit gefahren. Isch schlitz' eusch alle off!"
